Hi Grace(or 유은아)!!!!!!!
How are you doing?? I am doing great here in Toronto although it is FREEZING cold. We had our first snow that actually stayed for longer than a night. It was pretty cold when I went out this morning to get the newspaper.
I've been really tired these days as I have been to all sorts of practices here and there for our school's choir. First of all, our school likes to have many assembly's (a big gathering within the school) and we present our music to the students then. But these days, we've been practising especially harder so we would be ready for this choir festival called "By the Kids, For the Kids". Our music teacher signed us up for this competition although it is still a festival just to show of our music with other schools. So we practised really hard and went to Eglinton Square, the place of the competition, and sang our best there. Well, the adjudicators (music judges) really like our songs and voices so we were invited to come back today, Saturday, November 28, 2003, to come and record a DVD with nine other schools music on it as well. It was a pretty long day as we had to stand on risers and sing for 20 minutes especially while someone was taping us. My three friends and I went shopping around the mall and stayed until the adjudicators announced who the first, second and third place winners were. Well, our school got second place!!! I am very happy and proud for the hard working students. It was so much fun and was an awesome experience.
Our family got a digital camera last week so I'll ask my dad if we can send pictures to you and your family. I really miss you around here and hope you will come and visit us some time in the near future.
Au Revoir! (good-bye in French)
